Originally found in 2006 by Jason Adams as Taky Tiki. The name order was switched to Tiki Taky when the place underwent a dramatic upgrade in Tiki décor in 2009. Tiki Taky being the first original Tiki Bar in Eastern Europe, brought the Polynesian culture to the heart of Czech. In 2011, we were chosen as one of the most genuine Czech cocktail bars (Euro Economic magazine). Thereafter Tiki culture and Tiki Mugs spread around the country and inspired many Czech cocktails bars. Tiki Taky hosted many famous people such as Jeremy Clarkson, Sven Kirsten, and many others from various cultural and political environments. We continue improving the quality of our drinks and decor every year and host many live musical events. Cocktail Menu Started in 1933 by the opening of Don the Beachcomber, a Polynesian-themed bar and restaurant in Hollywood. His Bar as a first featured exotic rum punches served in Tiki mugs with a decor of flaming torches, rattan furniture, flower leis, and brightly colored fabrics. Beach was the first restaurateur to mix flavored syrups and fresh fruit juices with rum. Drinks were called Rhum Rhapsodies and made Don the Beachcomber's restaurant the hot spot for Hollywood elite and stars from the 1940s well into the 1960s. Trader Vic adopted a Tiki theme for his restaurant in Oakland in 1936, which eventually grew to become a worldwide. California's World's Fair in 1939 – the Golden Gate International Exposition – celebrated for the first time Polynesian culture in the United States. Soon came integration of the idea into music and architecture. The excitement surrounding the 1947 Kon-Tiki expedition helped to promote tiki culture and people fell in love with their romanticized version of an exotic culture. The mid-1990s saw the beginning of a revival of the Tiki culture and a rise in popularity for traditional tiki cocktails in craft cocktail bars.
